Looking to continue their newfound sales momentum, Buick has officially unveiled the 2012 Verano in Detroit.
Designed to compete with the Audi A3 and Lexus IS250, the Verano features a stylish design that boasts blue-translucent projector beam headlights, a waterfall grille, porthole vents, and 17-inch alloy wheels (18 inchers are optional).
Owing to its premium position, Buick decorated the cabin with soft-touch materials, metallic accents, and wood trim. Of course to get a truly luxurious environment, you'll need to shell out for options such as leather upholstery, heated seats, GPS navigation, and a Bose audio system.
At launch, power will be provided by a 2.4-liter Ecotec engine that produces 177 hp (132 kW / 179 PS) and 170 lb-ft (230 Nm) of torque. It is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission which enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 8.0 seconds and return an estimated 22 mpg city / 31 mpg highway. Later on, the company will offer a turbocharged 2.0-liter but specifications haven't been released as of yet.
On sale in the fourth quarter, the 2012 Verano will carry a base price of approximately $21,000.
This amazing car is to be launched in 2012.
