Here’s how the BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics or shortly the new registered BMW i8 gets back in the forefront with a new set of spy shots. We recently appointed that BMW’s Vision ED series model is likely to ba named i8 according to the latest trademarks filings recently registered by the German manufacturer.

The new BMW i8 got spied in Abu Dhabi but there still is a mystery regarding the propulsion system. We know that the concept version was carrying two electric engines together with a 1.5-liter turbodiesel propeller. However, we don’t have any certain details if the series version expected to debut somewhere in 2013 will adopt the same combination under the bonnet.
